Hip-Hop’s Biggest Troll? | 50 Cent vs. Women

Hip-Hop’s Biggest Troll? | 50 Cent vs. Women

We’ve already discussed the incidents involving 50 Cent and the mothers of his children, but those situations only scratch the surface of a much larger pattern. More recently, when Sean Combs found himself facing serious legal trouble, 50 took to the internet, positioning himself as an advocate for accountability. He publicly supported calls for justice for Combs’ alleged victims and went as far as producing a documentary centered on exposing wrongdoing.

A great deal of time has been spent dissecting the actions of others. Far less attention has been given to examining 50’s own history. Over the years, he has repeatedly found himself in public conflict with women across the entertainment industry. These moments are often dismissed as jokes, trolling, or simply “keeping it real.” But for the women on the receiving end, the experience appears far less humorous.

This raises an uncomfortable question. How often does 50 Cent’s reputation as an outspoken truth teller or troll overshadow the impact of his own behavior? Why does his treatment of women often tend to be minimized?

50 Cent vs Lastonia Leviston

The feud between 50 Cent and Rick Ross began as a traditional rap rivalry, but over time it escalated far beyond music. At the height of their conflict, explicit content involving Ross’ child’s mother, Lastonia Leviston, was released and circulated online without her consent. Leviston alleged that the video was distributed by 50 Cent after her ex boyfriend, someone she dated following her relationship with Rick Ross, sold the footage to him.

Leviston had no public role in the feud. Yet she became part of it in one of the most invasive ways possible. She later filed a lawsuit, and the court ultimately ruled in her favor, recognizing the harm caused by the release and use of the footage.

Leviston has since spoken about how the incident affected her, stating, “I became suicidal. I didn’t want to live anymore. I felt like I was damaged goods. Like no man would ever love me again. I felt like I had let my kids down tremendously.”

In a conflict she had no part in, Leviston suffered the most severe consequences. Her experience stands as one of the clearest examples of how women connected to 50 Cent’s feuds often endure lasting harm while being treated as collateral. This was not the last time a situation like this would occur.

50 Cent vs Teairra Mari

The situation with Teairra Mari in 2019 exposed another side of how 50 Cent uses his power online. After Teairra’s private video was leaked, 50 allegedly reposted it to his massive platform, putting her humiliation on display for millions. He amplified the moment, mocked her publicly, and turned a deeply personal situation into entertainment. Fans rushed to defend him, pointing out that he wasn’t the original source of the leak and, legally, that argument held up. The courts ultimately ruled against Teairra, and 50 won the lawsuit, turning it into yet another public loss for her.

But what followed felt excessive. Instead of empathy, she was ridiculed, accused of chasing money, labeled broke, promiscuous, and her public image took a serious hit. For most people, that would be more than enough damage. Yet anytime Teairra trends or resurfaces, 50 seems ready with fresh jokes and reminders that she owes him money. Winning isn’t enough. The humiliation seemingly always has to continue.

50 vs. Megan Thee Stallion

It started back when she was dating Moneybagg Yo. After Moneybagg posted a photo of himself standing while Megan lay across a piano, 50 Cent commented, “All kinda good looking hoes out here, the pressure a break em. Lol.” It may have seemed harmless to some, but it was still an unprovoked jab at a woman he didn’t even know personally. When Moneybagg spoke up and clarified that Megan wasn’t a “hoe,” 50 later claimed he didn’t realize it was Megan in the photo and apologized. Still, it raises the question, why speak about women like that at all?

Then came Megan’s case with Tory Lanez. Early on, 50 Cent publicly trolled Megan, implying she was lying and even comparing her situation to Jussie Smollett. After public backlash and audio surfaced in court of Tory speaking about the incident while incarcerated, 50 shifted his stance and apologized.

50 Cent vs Tiny Harris

The tension between 50 Cent and T.I. has been ongoing for years. Most recently, it resurfaced during a back and forth about a potential Verzuz battle. What began as competitive talk between two men quickly shifted.

50 brought T.I.’s wife, Tiny Harris, into the mix. He posted a photo of Tiny referencing her body and followed up with several other posts poking fun.

The posts sparked backlash and ignited an online war between T.I.’s family and 50, with critics pointing to his long history of dragging women into conflicts that have nothing to do with them.

50 Cent vs Tina Knowles and Solange Knowles

As the situation swirled online, Tina Knowles entered the conversation to show support. She posted a photo of Tiny on Instagram, celebrating her as a beautiful Black woman. There was no direct commentary about 50 or the beef. It was simply solidarity.

50 responded by posting an unflattering image of Tina. 50 captioned it, “Grandmothers getting involved. WTF LOL.”

He then followed up with a post referencing Solange Knowles, writing, “You gotta watch out for these killers. They will get you in the elevator,” referencing her past altercation with Jay Z.

50 Cent vs Lil’ Kim

50’s issues with Lil’ Kim span years and blur the line between professional rivalry and personal animosity. Early on, 50 Cent dissed Kim in a song. Despite that, Kim still agreed to collaborate with him on Magic Stick, a record that went on to become a major hit. However, after the collaboration, 50 did not show up for the video shoot.

Kim later explained that around this time, 50 asked her to dinner. She declined the invitation, stating that she had a boyfriend and was not interested. After that rejection, the tone of the situation noticeably shifted. During a 2003 Hot 97 freestyle on Funk Flex, 50 publicly dissed Kim, rapping:

“I wrote Magic Stick, I gave Kim a hit, then I wouldn’t shoot the video, she threw a lil’ fit. Why would I care ’bout your emotions? You’re not my bitch.”

Not long after, Kim’s boyfriend allegedly followed 50 to a hotel and opened fire on the G Unit crew. No charges were filed in connection with the incident. Even so, public attacks continued. In 2004, 50 mocked Kim by awarding her “most plastic surgery in music.” The following year, he dissed her again in a song, comparing her appearance to Michael Jackson.

Kim eventually responded with the record Spell Check, directly challenging 50’s credibility and alluding to snitching allegations. When Kim was later incarcerated, 50 publicly shaded her once again. In response, Kim gave an interview stating that she did not respect him. She criticized the violent nature of his music and suggested that with his money, success, and influence, he should be living differently and using his leverage more responsibly.

Although the feud eventually died down, it never truly ended. In 2021, 50 reignited tensions by posting an image mocking Kim, placing her next to a leprechaun and an owl. Kim responded publicly, calling him obsessed and questioning why a grown man continued to engage in conflict with women. The situation escalated again when rumors involving Nicki Minaj surfaced. 50 inserted himself into the situation, encouraging Nicki to attack Kim and making a remark about Kim’s daughter’s eye condition, which sparked widespread backlash.

50 Cent vs Ashanti

Ashanti became part of 50’s orbit due to her association with Murder Inc during his feud with Ja Rule and Irv Gotti. Although she was not the primary target, her name was repeatedly mentioned during that era.

At the 2007 VMAs, Nelly approached 50, and an apology was exchanged, suggesting the tension had been resolved. Years later, however, 50 revived the situation by trolling Ashanti on Instagram over alleged low ticket sales. Ashanti responded by calling him a bully, reframing the situation as harassment rather than competition.

50 Cent vs Madonna

When Madonna posted photos that some viewed as unflattering, 50 took to Instagram with multiple posts mocking her appearance. He compared her body to an ant, referred to her as a grandmother, and focused heavily on her age and body.

Madonna responded by posting an older photo of the two together and stated that 50 appeared to find joy in humiliating others. 50 issued what seemed like a joking apology. Madonna rejected it, calling the apology fake and misogynistic. Rather than stop, 50 continued to post jokes at her expense.

50 Cent vs Ciara

Ciara and 50 began dating around 2007. Their relationship lasted several years, on and off, before ending around 2011. After the breakup, 50 made derogatory remarks about Ciara publicly, leading to a brief but very public Twitter exchange.

50 Cent vs Vivica A. Fox

Vivica and 50 dated briefly in 2003 and had a messy split. After their breakup, 50 claimed she dated him for publicity and dissed her in a song. Vivica responded by claiming 50 actually used her for publicity.

Despite this, she later forgave him and appeared in his 2010 music video. Vivica has also done multiple interviews, repeatedly claiming 50 to be the love of her life. When Vivica joined Empire, 50 mocked the show’s ending, blaming it on “too much gay sh*t.” Vivica later responded on Watch What Happens Live, calling it a case of “the pot calling the kettle black.”

50 clapped back by posting edited images and making comments about her body. Still, Vivica has continued to speak kindly about him in recent years. Many fans have expressed frustration, feeling that her loyalty fuels his ego while costing her public respect.

50 Cent vs Wendy Williams

The feud between 50 and Wendy Williams stretched on for years. Tensions reportedly began when Wendy allowed Vivica A. Fox to speak openly about her breakup with 50 on her show. 50 allegedly viewed this as disloyal.

Wendy also criticized 50 publicly for his estranged relationship with his son, Marquise, including reacting to his post about throwing a “child support release party.” In response, 50 repeatedly insulted Wendy, calling her a crackhead, ugly, and making multiple troll posts. Wendy surprisingly did not engage in a back and forth but instead stated she loves 50 Cent.

50 Cent vs Olivia

When Olivia parted ways with G Unit in 2007, she consistently spoke positively about her experience. In interviews, she avoided criticism and did not accuse the group or 50 Cent of any wrongdoing.

50’s public comments about Olivia took an unnecessary route, per usual. In a radio interview, he suggested that Olivia and Missy Elliott may have had a romantic relationship, stating, “Missy hit dat,” and implying that Olivia had ruined her own chances in the industry. Whether meant as humor or not, the focus shifted away from her talent to speculation about her personal life and seemingly tainted her reputation.

Years later, in 2022, Olivia announced plans for a comeback and was again asked about her relationship with 50. She stated that there was no bad blood and offered context for his behavior, saying, “People have to understand the type of person he is… it’s just his personality.” She also explained that when she addresses his comments directly, he responds by saying he simply speaks without thinking. Olivia went on to frame this as part of who he is, even referencing his zodiac sign being a Cancer.

Her responses reflect a familiar dynamic. Rather than challenging the behavior, it is often explained away. Whether intentional or not, moments like these suggest that people connected to 50 may feel pressure to minimize or excuse his actions, possibly as a way to avoid conflict or remain in his good graces.

At some point, we have to call this what it is.

This is not just trolling. It’s a long history of disrespect toward women, especially Black women, packaged as humor. The public keeps allowing it because it is entertaining.

Over the years, women have been exposed, mocked, sexualized, insulted, and dragged into conflicts they had nothing to do with. When they respond, they are often criticized.

Even outside of specific feuds, the consequences 50 Cent faces seem slim to none. During an appearance on Lil Wayne’s show in 2020, 50 made comments about Black women being “angry” and said he prefers dating “exotic” women. There was some backlash, but it faded quickly. Why? Because he is funny. Because he is successful. Because people like him.

His reputation as a master marketer and internet comedian softens the blow. Fans and the media frame it as jokes. But underneath the punchlines is a pattern of embarrassing women in ways that question their looks, sexuality, value, and worth.

When the same behavior repeats across decades, it stops being just their “persona” and it seems like more of a character flaw.

Accountability cannot only apply to his enemies. It cannot only apply when he is producing a documentary or calling out someone else’s misconduct. If we are serious about protecting women and challenging abuse of power in this industry, the standard has to be consistent.
